Ector, Texas -- Thanks to David Keene's vision and generosity, daffodil bulbs are spreading across Fannin County one city at a time! This past Saturday, Ector was the third city to plant daffodil bulbs. The Ector Beautification Association ("EBA") and the Fannin Master Gardeners ("FMG") planted over 250 daffodil bulbs in the HG Dulaney Park located in Ector. This park is supported and maintained by the Ector Beautification Association.
"We had a great turn out of volunteers and made short work of the planting!" said Morris Taylor, EBA Vice President. "After meeting with David Keene and the Fannin Master Gardeners, we knew this was a project for us."

"They (EBA) really caught the spirit of the project and added funds so more bulbs could be purchased and added to the mass planting of daffodils," stated Lauri Blake, Fannin Master Gardener. "This has been a fun project! Everyone is eager to see daffodils blooming in the spring."
Ector Beautification Association will have their next fundraiser to support the park on Saturday October 17, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event is the annual Chili and dessert contest followed by an opportunity to buy a bowl of chili and dessert. The live auction begins at 6:00 p.m. and the silent auction continues til 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to come out to the Ector Cafetorium for a great night of food, fellowship, and auctions!
