One such newcomer to The Addison is the Addison Full Circle Film Festival, which will take place Nov. 7-8. The Town’s first film fest will show feature-length films at the Main Stage and short films in the Black Box Theatre.
The festival, produced by Full Circle Films creative partners Andrew Worley and Bobby Williams, is accepting submissions now at filmfreeway.com/addisonfullcirclefilmfestival.

Worley has been an actor in the DFW area for 20 years and started Full Circle Films to produce his own work. Williams is a lifelong musician and previously tried his hand as a movie reviewer on YouTube and podcasting. They’ve built the Addison Full Circle Film Festival around the belief that art can be more intentional, more inclusive and more connected to the community it serves.
Rather than a single weekend event, the Addison Full Circle Film Festival unfolds over multiple seasons. The inaugural run in November will serve as the official kickoff to the cycle, introducing audiences to bold narrative storytelling and Texas-based filmmakers in an intentional, thoughtfully curated setting. Subsequent festivals will take place over winter and spring, culminating in the Addison Full Circle Film Festival Finale held in August 2027, when winners of the previous fests will be screened and compete for a grand prize.
“Our goal is to bring awareness to the Texas film scene, which has grown rapidly in recent years thanks to the state’s varied landscapes and the Texas Film Commission’s $1.5B incentives for TV and films made in Texas over the next decade,” Williams said.
Films will be reviewed by a panel of local judges, including filmmakers, educators and creative professionals who understand both the craft of storytelling and the value of supporting artists at every stage of their journey. A crowd favorite award will also be given in both feature length and short film categories.
With the focus on storytelling, submitted films must be narrative in nature. The festival does not accept documentaries, student films, experimental films, music videos or episodic content. Submissions are open exclusively to Texas filmmakers and must have been primarily produced in Texas. Non-English films must include subtitles.
“We’ve been exploring different ways to bring the arts to The Addison and found the perfect partner in Full Circle Films,” Belford said. “This film festival will give the performing arts centre a different energy and we can’t wait to showcase Texas filmmakers in a new way.”
