U.S. Marshals Service announces results of Operation Red Card

The United States Marshals Service (USMS), through the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force (JETFTF), announced the results of Operation Red Card, a coordinated fugitive apprehension and violent crime suppression initiative conducted throughout the Eastern District of Texas from June 1 through July 31, 2026.

Operation Red Card leveraged intelligence gathering and
interagency coordination to identify and apprehend specifically targeted individuals wanted for violent felony offenses throughout Cooke, Grayson, Denton, Collin, Fannin, Lamar, Delta, and Hopkins counties within the Eastern District of Texas. Additionally, this initiative coincided with increased law enforcement efforts surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

During the operation, the JETFTF conducted targeted enforcement operations that resulted in:

• 33 arrests
• 49 warrants cleared
• 8 documented gang members arrested
• 6.566 kilograms of narcotics seized
• $5,000 in U.S. currency seized
• 2 firearms seized

Significant Arrests:

Latavian CLARK, wanted for two counts of Capital Murder out of Dallas County, was arrested on June 24, 2026, in Plano, Texas, by members of the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force in coordination with personnel from the Northern District of Texas.

Erving ESTRADA, also wanted for two counts of Capital Murder out of Dallas County, was arrested on June 24, 2026, in McKinney, Texas, by members of the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force in coordination with the Northern District of Texas.

Operation Red Card demonstrates the effectiveness of coordinated law enforcement efforts focused on removing violent offenders from our communities. Through intelligence sharing and interagency cooperation, the USMS-JETFTF was able to identify and apprehend individuals wanted for serious and violent offenses while disrupting criminal activity throughout East Texas.

The JETFTF is comprised of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies working together to protect the public by locating and apprehending dangerous fugitives and working closely with law enforcement partners to reduce violent crime and enhance public safety.
