Dodd City, Texas -- The Class 2A Wolfe City Lady Wolves defeated the Dodd City Lady Hornets in three competitive sets Tuesday night.

Wolfe City slipped by Dodd City, 25-23, in the opener. The Lady Wolves followed up with wins of 25-18 and 25-20 for the sweep.

Dodd City's Gracyn Shindler put down 18 kills and Kodi Dorau knocked down nine kills.

Kayleigh McBrayer doled out 17 assists, Adisen White had six assists and Kennedy Chaney dished out a pair of assists.

Shindler led Dodd City with 20 digs, followed by Chaney (16 digs), McBrayer (14 digs), Dorau (10  digs), Makayla Camp (7 digs), White (3 digs), Kendyl Lindsey (3 digs) and Paige Clark (2 digs).

Shindler also led the team at the service line with three aces and Dorau finished with two aces.

Caroline Lackey and Shindler both had two blocks. 

Dodd City will travel to Boles on Friday, September 11.
