AgriLife Extension event to highlight winter hay feeding, supplementation strategies

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a free virtual educational program on livestock winter feeding and supplementation considerations on Sept. 8 from 6-7 p.m. as part of the 2026 “Ag in the Evening” Zoom lecture series.

About the event

The session will feature Jason Banta, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension beef cattle specialist at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and Research Center at Overton and professor in the Department of Animal Science.

Banta will focus on nutritional planning for livestock producers, including considerations for feeding strategies, supplementation options and matching nutrient programs to animal needs.
