The Ector Lady Eagles put together a commanding performance against PTAA Greenville, earning a straight-set victory, 25-9, 25-10, 25-19.
Ector controlled the match from the service line, putting constant pressure on PTAA Greenville and finishing the night with an impressive 32 aces as a team. The Lady Eagles jumped out quickly in the opening set with a 25-9 win and carried that momentum into the second, allowing just 10 points. PTAA Greenville battled in the third set, but Ector remained in control to close out the sweep, 25-19.
Aleea Wheeler led an outstanding night at the service line with 12 aces while adding three kills. Adeline Dederick contributed seven aces, three kills, eight assists and four digs in a strong all-around performance.
Alana Mackey recorded four aces, six kills, six assists and five digs, while Audrey Arie added three aces, one kill and six digs. Ella Laymance finished with three aces and one kill, and Ainsley Greathouse added three aces.
Offensively, Cheyenne Beaty put down four kills, while Odette Cruz added one kill to the Lady Eagles’ attack.
The convincing three-set victory was another strong showing for Ector as the Lady Eagles continue working to make their presence known this season.
