The Lady Hornets started the day by sweeping TCS, 25-17 and 25-10. Gracyn Shindler led the attack with 12 kills, Caroline Lackey finished with four kills and Kodi Dorau contributed a pair of kills. Kayleigh McBrayer and Adisen White both handed out seven assists. McBrayer had a team-high five aces, with Makayla Camp, Kennedy Chaney and Adisen White all finishing with four aces. Shindler and Lackey both had two blocks.

The second match offered a preview of this year's District 21-A skirmishes, with Dodd City and Savoy squaring off. Dodd City took a tough opener, 25-20, and  then earned the sweep with a solid 25-13 victory in the second set. Shindler finished with 14 kills and Dorau slammed down seven kills. White dished out a dozen assists. Shindler led the Lady Hornets in digs (13) and aces (5), while Lackey had a team-high three blocks.

Dodd City took on Tishomingo in the third match, with the Lady Hornets reeling off their third-consecutive sweep, 25-21 and 25-18. Shindler put down eight kills, McBrayer had eight assists, Chaney came up with nine digs, Camp slipped three aces through the defense and Emma Garner had two blocks.

The Dodd City Lady Hornets will head to Trenton on Friday for a 4:30 p.m. match before returning to the Tom Bean tourney for bracket play on Saturday.
