U.S. Marshals seek information on man who fled during trial, sentenced to 30 years

Dallas, Texas -- The U.S. Marshals Service – North Texas Fugitive Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a fugitive who was convicted of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and sentenced to 30 years in prison in Tarrant County, Texas.

Paul Person, 55, is wanted by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office after fleeing in a gold Chevrolet Malibu in the middle of his trial in February 2024. The trial continued, Person was subsequently found guilty and sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Do not attempt to confront this fugitive as he should be considered armed and dangerous.

If you see him, please call 911 for immediate assistance.

Anyone with information regarding Person’s whereabouts is urged to contact the U.S. Marshals at 1 (877) WANTED-2 or send tip information to usmstips@usdoj.gov. Tips may also be sent to the Tarrant County Crimestoppers at (817) 469-TIPS. The identities of tipsters will remain confidential and anonymous.
