McKinney, Texas -- MillHouse Foundation and Cotton Mill Partners, Ltd. invite art lovers to spend the weekend at Summer ArtFest, a juried indoor art festival held August 29–30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days at the historic McKinney Cotton Mill.
Guests can meet and shop directly from local and regional fine artists showcasing original paintings, jewelry, pottery, woodworking, photography, fiber art, and more. All artwork is available to purchase and take home that day. Artists will be located throughout the Cotton Mill's event venue, Grand Hallway, and Atrium Hallway.
ArtFest offers the character of a historic setting without the summer heat. The Cotton Mill, built in 1910, provides a unique backdrop for a full weekend of art, music, food, and drinks. White Box Roastery will offer coffee, tea, pastries, sandwiches, and snacks for purchase. Wine and beer will also be available for purchase during the festival. On Sunday, The Retrofits will perform live in the Atrium Hallway from noon to 3:00 p.m.
Admission and parking are free. Parking is available in Cotton Mill Lots A and B and across the street from the venue. Multiple accessible parking spaces are available in Lot A, with an additional accessible space in Lot B.
The Cotton Mill is located less than a mile from Historic Downtown McKinney, making ArtFest an easy starting point for a full day—or weekend—of shopping, dining, and live music. Visitors traveling from outside the area can find nearby accommodations at https://www.visitmckinney.com/millhouse/

MillHouse Foundation partners with Cotton Mill Partners to produce art festivals that showcase local and regional talent while bringing visitors to historic McKinney. Sister nonprofits MillHouse Foundation and MillHouse McKinney operate from the Cotton Mill and support women building small businesses in creative fields.
