Greenville, Texas -- Join us at noon on Tuesday, August 4 at the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum for a program by Lewis Smith. He will be presenting on Writing Historical Fiction in the 21st Century - An Author's Journey.

Lewis has a bachelor's and master's degree in history from East Texas A&M University. He has taught history for 35 years and is currently the Dual Credit American History teacher at Sulphur Springs HS. An avid collector of fossils and Indian artifacts, Lewis published his first novel, The Testimonium, in 2014.

Since then, he has released six more and has another coming out next year. His stories lean heavily into his Christian faith as well as his fascination with history and archeology.
