Fannin County, Texas -- Red River Hoops is proud to congratulate Derrick Wiley of Sam Rayburn ISD on officially signing his National Letter of Intent today to continue his academic and basketball career at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

Derrick has been a valued member of the Red River Hoops family since his freshman year, and throughout his journey, he has consistently embodied the qualities of an exceptional student-athlete. His unwavering work ethic, strong character, humility, and commitment to serving others have made a lasting impact on everyone who has had the privilege of coaching and knowing him.

Success like this doesn’t happen overnight. It is the result of years of sacrifice, countless hours in the gym, perseverance through challenges, and an unwavering belief in the process. Today marks the realization of a dream that Derrick has earned through his dedication to both the game and the people around him.

While we are proud of the player Derrick has become, we are even more proud of the young man he is. He has represented Red River Hoops with integrity, selflessness, and leadership, leaving a legacy that extends far beyond basketball.

Today, Derrick officially begins the next chapter of his journey, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what lies ahead. We know he will continue to make a positive impact on and off the court while representing Oklahoma Wesleyan University with the same excellence and character he has displayed throughout his time with our program.
