(updated 7-23-2026) Jon Conklin with FishOn Guide Service (479-233-3474) said Beaver Lake has dropped another foot or so and water temperature is hot — upper 80s are throughout the lake. The water level is at 1,121.25 feet msl. That level is right at normal pool.

Striper continues to be in the very good category. Fish are basically from Point 5 down to the dam. Crappie are suspended, as that is what they do here on Beaver in the summer. Look at depths of 20 feet or so. “Best method for fishing crappie is trolling. I prefer to use Lucas Crankbaits, as they tend to get a few feet deeper than the typical Bandits.”

Walleye are being found at 25 feet to 30 feet deep. Crawler harnesses are the best and most reliable way in the summer to put fish in the boat. Catfish are good on juglines and trotlines. Bluegill are always ready to play — a very underutilised fish that makes some good eating.
