Leonard, Texas -- Don't miss this time-honored North Texas tradition. The 147th Annual Leonard Picnic is slated for July 9-12, featuring a carnival, live music, a 5K, a car show, a golf tournament, a horseshoe tournament, and a parade and fireworks on Saturday, July 11. The Leonard Picnic will wrap up at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 12, with the carnival, food trucks and vendors and live music earlier in the day.

The event begins Thursday with a performance by Jess Wolverton at 5:45 p.m. The carnival, vendors and food trucks will be set up by 6:00 p.m.

The LSA Golf Tournament tees off at 8:00 a.m. Friday and the Homemade Ice Cream Contest will be at 7:00 p.m.

The 5K run is Saturday morning at 7:30 a.m., the parade is at 10:00 a.m. and the car show begins at 11:00 a.m. Saturday night ends with a spectacular fireworks show!
