Sherman, Texas -- Assistant Professor of Economics Dr. Mohsan Khudri has received the 2026 Diversity Scholarship from the American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon).
The ASHEcon offers the Diversity Scholarship to support underrepresented minorities and/or individuals whose background or life circumstances reflect having overcome substantial obstacles. The scholarship is highly competitive, and recipients are selected based on their background and research potential in health economics and policy. It supports attendance at the annual ASHEcon conference, where recipients have opportunities to network with other scholarship recipients, health economics scholars, and members of the ASHEcon Board and Diversity Committee.
This year’s conference took place on June 7 – 10 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Khudri specializes in health economics and public policy. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, he holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Memphis and a B.S. and M.S. in applied statistics from the University of Dhaka. His research focuses on identifying policy solutions that reduce health disparities and improve economic outcomes for vulnerable populations.
