City of Bonham announces 'Beautify Bonham' Community Clean-Up Event on June 6

Bonham, Texas -- The City of Bonham invites all residents to clear out the clutter and participate in the upcoming "Beautify Bonham" community clean-up initiative. The event will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at multiple designated drop-off sites across the city.

 

To ensure a smooth and safe event, city officials urge residents to review disposal guidelines carefully before departing, as certain items require specific drop-off locations or are strictly prohibited.

 

 

Prohibited Items (Not Accepted Anywhere):

  • Batteries
  • Televisions
  • Appliances containing Freon
  • Contractor or commercial construction debris

Specific Item Drop-Off Restrictions:

  • Paint & Household Hazardous Waste: Accepted ONLY at the Multipurpose Complex from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. This limited window is the only time and location that will accept paint, oil, gas, cleaners, chemicals, and pesticides. An online reservation is required to drop off these materials.

  • Brush & Green Debris: Accepted only at the Clarence Elkins Dump Site.
  • Tires (With or Without Rims): Accepted only at the Multipurpose Complex or the Street Department.
  • Furniture & Non-Freon Appliances: Accepted only at Sanitation Solutions or the Street Department.
  • Metal: Accepted only at the Street Department.

  • Street Department: 903 E Sam Rayburn
  • Sanitation Solutions: FM 87 & Silo Road
  • Clarence Elkins Dump Site: W 12th & Ballpark Way
  • Neighborhood Drop Sites:
    • Seven Oaks & Lynn St (Intersection)
    • Agnew St (Between Denison & W Evans Ave)
    • Powder Creek Park (1st St & Main St)
    • Lake Bonham (Rec Road 3 & Circle Dr)
