Sherman, Texas -- The 32nd year of the City of Sherman's free music series, Hot Summer Nights kicked off with the alternative Rock trio, Eve 6, in front of a boisterous crowd on the Municipal Lawn in downtown Sherman.
This hard-driving, three-man band has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and Thursday evening found them on the Oliver Dewey Mayor Gazebo Stage in Sherman's Kidd-Key Park.
Lead singer Max Collins let the crowd know that the song list would include two new songs.
"But not in a row!" interjected lead guitarist Jon Siebels.
"No, we're not crazy, people," Collins remarked. "We will mix them in and close out with the ones they cut the check for."
True to his word, the band worked through their repertoire before launching into hit singles, "Inside Out," a tune about the heartbreak of betrayal, and "Here's to the Night," a song about the transient nature of young love.
Up next at Hot Summer Nights will be Oliver White opening for Great White on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The opening act starts at 7:00 p.m., followed by the headliner at 7:30 p.m.
