Travel tourism event at Denison Travel Information Center

Denison, Texas -- TxDOT’s Travel Information Center north of Denison will host a travel and tourism day event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 29 to spotlight the National Travel and Tourism Week (May 3 – May 9). The center is located at 6801 N U.S. Highway 75 in Denison, Texas.

 

TxDOT personnel and local tourism partners gather at the center and share activities and information with visitors. This event and others celebrate the impact that travel and tourism have on our economy. The travel industry employs more than 15 million Americans nationwide.

TxDOT’s 12 travel information centers promote tourism to and within Texas, provide visitors with a vital rest stop, offer vending for snacks and beverages, serve as a Wi-Fi hot spot, and provide travel assistance from travel counselors. The centers and counselors create a positive first impression of Texas, help travelers choose travel routes, and provide detailed information on destinations, events and road conditions.
