Bonham, Texas -- Mildred Marilyn Sears, 72, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, surrounded by her family at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. She was born on April 14, 1954, in Ladonia, Texas, to Herbert Spann and Mary Bigbee Spann. Marilyn's life was marked by love, creativity, and a joyous spirit that touched all who knew her.
On February 15, 2017, Marilyn married her beloved husband, Jack Moore, in Bonham, Texas. Marilyn was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her family and particularly her grandchildren.
Marilyn loved to paint in her free time. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time with her cherished cat, Baby, attending casino outings, or discovering hidden treasures while thrift shopping and visiting garage sales.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John Spann, Bob Spann, Gene Spann, Herbert Spann, and an infant brother.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jack Moore of Savoy, Texas, daughter, Shelly Sears of McKinney, son, Scott Sears of Bells, grandsons, Dakota Sears, Mason Sears, and great grandson Blaine Sears, brothers, Bill Spann of Telephone, and Dave Spann of Arthur City, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham on May 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Brother Bill Spann will officiate. Marilyn will be laid to rest at Bigbee Cemetery in Telephone, Texas.
