Richardson, Texas -- Robert Dwayne Davis (August 27, 1969-April 26, 2026), of Richardson, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life well lived and a legacy of love, laughter, and steadfast devotion to family and friends. Born in Dallas, Robert was a proud Texan through and through, carrying a deep appreciation for his roots and the community he called home.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Anita Davis, and his aunt, Shirley Rae Rickards, both of whom he held close in heart throughout his life.

Robert is remembered by his devoted wife, Barbara: his cherished “fur babies” Max and Willie; his father, Bobby Davis; his brother, Rick Davis, and wife Debi; his uncle Jerry Cain; and his beloved nieces, Lacy Stracener, and Shelby Davis. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends that will carry his memory forward with love.

Robert found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Whether he was casting a line on a quiet morning, listening to his favorite music, or taking a drive in his Jeep with the wind and sun on his face, he knew how to savor the moment. He especially loved gathering folks together, firing up the smoker or grill, sharing some good food, and making sure no one left without a full belly and a smile.

Robert’s generous spirit, strong work ethic, and unmistakable sense of humor will be deeply missed, but the love he gave so freely will live on in all who knew him. His memory will forever be a blessing to those fortunate enough to call him theirs.

Funeral services will be held at Wildwood Baptist Church, 531 S. Walker Blvd, Mesquite, Texas,75149, on May 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. at the same location.
