McKinney, Texas -- McKinney National Airport (TKI) will host a Display Day on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1508 Industrial Blvd., offering locals and visitors an opportunity to explore their hometown airport and see a variety of aircraft up close. Attendees can RSVP to the Eventbrite page and learn more about Display Day by visiting FlyTKI.com.

Event guests can view a diverse range of static-display aircraft based at TKI, including emergency medical services (EMS) helicopters, corporate jets, Civil Air Patrol planes, short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft, Cirrus Aircraft, and a Cessna Citation Mustang. Some aircraft interiors will be available to view.

In addition to aircraft displays, exhibitors will include TKI, Avelo Airlines, the airport’s Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) personnel and vehicle, and local flight schools sharing information on aviation education opportunities. A local DJ will provide musical entertainment.

Event admission and parking are free. Guest parking is limited and will be offered first-come, first-served. Carpooling and ride shares are strongly recommended. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. In case of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, May 10.

“We’re pleased to invite our community to visit McKinney National Airport, where they can meet the airport and Avelo Airlines teams and TKI’s other partners, and to learn about aircraft based at the airport,” said Ken Carley, Director of McKinney National Airport. “As we approach completing construction on our passenger terminal this year and launching commercial airline flights to follow, our residents will have a better sense of their local airport and the air services we offer.”

McKinney National Airport has been a significant contributor to the local economy, generating nearly $300 million in annual economic activity. With plans to introduce commercial air service in late 2026, the airport is poised to further enhance its impact on the region.
