Ector, Texas -- The Ector Lady Eagles exacted a bit of revenge for a loss to Whitewright in their first district matchup with an impressive three-run win over Whitewright on Friday.

The Lady Eagles had a 3-0 lead after the first inning and led 8-1 after the second inning.

Whitewright scored four runs in the top of the third, but Ector answered with three runs in the bottom half of the frame to give the Lady Eagles an 11-5 advantage.

Ector was on top 12-5 after four innings. Whitewright scored three runs in the top of the fifth and Ector picked up a run in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 13-8.

Whitewright plated a pair of runners in the top of the seventh before the rally fell short, giving Ector a 13-10 victory.

Ector's Audrey Arie struck out five to get the win and went 2-for-3, scored three times and drove in three runs.

Ella Laymance was 3-for-4, scored twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Alana Mackey went 2-for-3, scored three times and had one RBI.

Kutter Watts and Ainsley Greathouse both had two hits.

Whitewright's Taryn Minzenmayer went 4-for-4, scored four times  and drove in seven runs.

The Ector Lady Eagles will host Tom Bean on Tuesday, April 14 and then close out the 2026 district campaign April 17 with a game in Ivanhoe against the Sam Rayburn Lady Rebels.
