"Plan – and plant for a better world." -- American horticulturist, J.C. Raulston
Denton, Texas -- Spring is an exciting time for gardeners looking for new plants, buying more favorites, and making new gardens! What better time to head to a plant sale with over 8,000 plants and peruse all of them at the Denton County Master Gardeners Annual Plant Sale on April 25. The Sale is a one-day sale and located at the North Texas Fairgrounds in Denton. There is plenty of parking, protection from rain, and ample browsing space. Public restrooms are available as well. Some wagons and carts will be available, but customers are encouraged to bring their own.

What better way to start off the gardening season than with the Denton County Master Gardeners and a wide selection of native and well-adapted plants from local growers and Master Gardeners’ own gardens, including roses. The selection will include perennials, ornamental grasses, small shrubs and trees, annuals, herbs, bulbs, corms and edibles that have a record of performing well in North Texas.
Master Gardeners are available to help shoppers find just the right plants. Categories include natives, shade plants, full sun plants, succulents and more. There is even a “Make an Offer” section. Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions and share gardening tips throughout the sale.
The best plant selection will be at 9:00 a.m., when the sale opens, and the sale goes on rain or shine. The sale will end at 2:00 p.m. or sell-out. People start lining up early to get a good spot and the best selection!
