Farmers Branch, Texas -- The Metrocrest Area Chamber will host the National Civics BeeŽ Metrocrest Local Finals on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Dallas College Brookhaven Campus Performing Hall.

This exciting live competition will feature outstanding middle school students demonstrating their knowledge of civics, critical thinking skills, and commitment to community engagement. Finalists represent a diverse group of schools, including Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Coppell ISD, Frisco ISD, Sunnyvale ISD, as well as homeschool and charter school students from across the region.

The event will be emceed by Phil Prazn of NBC 5, adding energy and professionalism to an inspiring evening that highlights the importance of civic education.

The Metrocrest Area Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to Atmos Energy and Dallas College for
their generous sponsorship and support of this impactful program.
