Bonham, Texas -- Melba Charlene Miller, 90, of Ravenna, Texas, passed away on March 27, 2026, in Bonham, Texas. She lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion to her family and the quiet strength that comes from a loving heart.

Charlene was born in Bonham, Texas on July 2, 1935, to Charlie and Dessie Lee Floyd. She married Donald Ray Miller on May 6, 1953, in Ardmore, OK. Charlene was co-owner of Miller Drilling Company, where she contributed to the family business with dedication, hard work and a strong sense of responsibility.

Charlene had many hobbies - she enjoyed sewing, gardening and painting, also camping, fishing and hunting with her husband Don. Her love of bowling in leagues spanned over 60 years, participating in and winning tournaments with great skill.  She was also a homemaker and the owner of various businesses over the years, though her love and care of her family was always a priority. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Dessie Lee Floyd, husband, Donald Ray Miller, son, Thomas “Tom” Miller, and sister, Allene Curry.

She is survived by her daughter, Tribby Steuber, and husband, John, her son, Toby Miller, and wife, Rachael, daughter Tina Cashion, and husband, Charles.  She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren with another baby girl on the way, many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom she loved dearly and brought great joy to her life. Doris Curry was close and caring friend, there for her and our family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham on Saturday April 4 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a visitation prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
