Bonham, Texas -- The Bonham Fire Department, in partnership with the Bonham Police Department, Bonham ISD, Bonham ISD Police, and local emergency responders, will participate in a simulation exercise, the "Shattered Dream" program, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Bonham High School.
Residents and commuters should be advised of the following:
Mock Accident Scene: A full-scale simulated vehicle accident will take place at the Bonham High School campus.
Road Closure - Nolan Ashmore will be closed beginning at 8:00 am March 25, 2026, east of Braum’s parking lot entrance to Albert Broadfoot Street.
Emergency Presence: There will be a significant presence of emergency personnel, fire trucks, ambulances, and police vehicles. You may also see a medical helicopter landing or departing.
NOT A REAL EMERGENCY: This is a planned educational exercise. There is no threat to the community, and no actual emergency is occurring at the high school during this time.
The "Shattered Dreams" program is a powerful "docudrama"designed to educate teenagers about the life-altering consequences of underage drinking and impaired driving. It highlights how a single choice can permanently impact students, their families, and the entire community.
The Bonham Fire Department and the Bonham Police Department are proud to partner with Bonham ISD and Bonham ISD Police for this vital program.
