Saturday, March 28 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Fannin County, Texas -- Shilo Cemetery is the formerly abandoned, final resting place for about 200 black and white citizens. Burials date from the 1840s to 1950s, with almost a third of those being infants and young children. Work will involve removing fallen tree branches, digging up thorny vines, chopping off shoots from tree stumps, etc.

Volunteer hours may qualify for high school students needing community service credits.
