Bonham, Texas -- The City of Bonham Animal Shelter is thrilled to announce a special adoption event on Thursday, April 30, 2026, sponsored by the Credit Union of Texas (CUTX) in support of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. This collaboration aims to find furrever homes for local animals while providing a fun, community-focused experience for residents.

Location: City of Bonham Animal Shelter - 500 Industrial St., Bonham, TX 75418

In a generous show of support for our furry friends, CUTX will cover 100% of the adoption fees for every animal adopted during the event.

To celebrate the day, CUTX is bringing its community food truck to the shelter. Lunch will be provided to the public free of charge from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Additionally, every successful adoption will come with a "Welcome Home" starter kit. CUTX will provide $50.00 gift cards to Fix 'N Feed and custom adoption goody bags for each pet heading to their new home, helping owners get off to a great start with their
new companions.

We are incredibly grateful to the Credit Union of Texas for its commitment to our shelter and the animals in our care. This event is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come out, enjoy a meal, and perhaps meet their new best friend.
