Ector, Texas -- The Ector Lady Eagles moved to 2-0 in District 11-2A with a six-run victory over the Trenton Lady Tigers.

Trenton went up 1-0 in the top of the first inning, but Ector scored two runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead. The Lady Eagles followed up with four runs in the bottom of the second to open up a 6-1 lead.

Ector added a run in the fourth frame and stretched its advantage to 8-1 with another run in the bottom of the sixth.

Trenton managed to plate a solitary runner in the top of the seventh, giving Ector an 8-2 win in front of their hometown fans.

Adalynn Dederick led the Lady Eagles at the plate with a 3-for-4 performance and four runs batted in. Ainsley Greathouse was 2-for-3 and scored a run. Audrey Arie was also 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Alana Mackey and Ella Laymance both went 2-for-4. Mackey scored twice and drove in a run. Laymance had one RBI.

Kutter Watts was 1-for-3, scored a run and drove in a run.

Cheyenne Beaty scored twice and Aspen Harrison scored one run.

Arie fanned four batters and only allowed one run in the first inning and one run in the top of the seventh to notch the win.

For Trenton, Loving and Avilies both had three hits.

The Ector Lady Eagles will travel to Dodd City for a 4:00 p.m. game on Tuesday, March 17.
