The university will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony, rodeo demonstration and live concert Tuesday, March 3, at the Spur Expo, 2900 TX-24 in Commerce. The evening marks the official opening of the facility, which will serve as the new home of the East Texas A&M Rodeo Team, and features two arenas which support rodeos, equine studies, livestock expos, concerts and other events. The larger arena seats 1,250 spectators and can accommodate up to 3,000 people for concerts, with standing room for 1,750 and capacity for future expansion.
Texas native Braxton Keith has quickly built a reputation for his traditional country sound and electrifying live performances, making him a fitting headliner for a night centered on rodeo, music and community celebration.

General admission concert tickets are free for standing room, with bleacher seating available for $10.95.
