McKinney, Texas -- The City of McKinney will host the 5th Annual North Collin County Neighborhood Conference on Saturday, March 7, bringing together residents and economic development leaders to discuss how thoughtful planning supports a strong local economy and high quality of life.
The conference is a collaborative effort with the City of Anna, the City of Celina and the Town of Prosper, and will take place from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McKinney ISD Community Event Center, 4201 S. Hardin Blvd. The free event is open to residents, homeowners’ associations and neighborhood associations, with lunch provided.
This year’s theme, Growth by Design: Planning for a Strong Local Economy, highlights how intentional economic development helps communities grow in a way that protects neighborhoods, supports local businesses and delivers long term value for residents.
Michael Kowski, President and CEO of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation, will join fellow economic development leaders from across North Collin County to share insights on current and future development projects and how those efforts directly benefit McKinney residents.
“As McKinney continues to grow, it is critical that we plan with purpose,” Kowski said. “A significant part of economic development is about supporting jobs, infrastructure, city services and amenities that make McKinney a great place to live. This conference gives residents a clear look at how those decisions are made and why they matter to our community.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from economic development leaders, ask questions and better understand how planning today helps shape McKinney’s future neighborhoods, transportation systems, public services and tax base.
Registration is required at McKinneyTexas.org/NorthConference. The North Collin County Neighborhood Conference is sponsored by CMA Management.
