McKinney, Texas -- The McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) is pleased to announce that it has awarded $2,661,800 for project grants to support quality-of-life projects that will benefit the community.

As a steward of community investment, MCDC carefully evaluates funding proposals through a thorough review process that includes detailed board analysis and comprehensive presentations from applicants. Each selected project is chosen for its strong potential to benefit both residents and visitors while enhancing the overall quality of life in McKinney.

Among the $$2.66 million in Project Grants awarded by MCDC at the February 26th Board meeting are:

Infrastructure related to the construction of McKinney Ranch Senior living, an independent senior living development with 109 units, 72 dedicated to low-income seniors - Palladium McKinney Ranch ($2,500,000)

Construction of new restroom facilities at Chestnut Square – Heritage Guild of Collin County ($148,500)

Building and archive preservation projects including window tinting and interior repairs and paint – Collin County History Museum ($13,300)

“These projects align directly with MCDC strategic priorities and our mission to work as a partner to fund community, cultural, and economic development projects in McKinney,” said MCDC Board George Fuller. “Our vision to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors of all ages and backgrounds is evident in these awarded grants. We are especially excited to introduce a new, affordable housing option for our senior residents.”

MCDC plays a pivotal role in supporting signature projects across McKinney, including retail development, affordable housing, parks and open spaces, entertainment venues, community festivals, and mobility infrastructure.
