Sherman, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials have announced upcoming daytime full closure of the northbound frontage road between Taylor Street and Lamberth Drive beginning at 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Feb. 24 and Feb. 26. If rain or delay the alternate dates are Feb. 25 for Feb. 24 and Feb. 27 for Feb. 26.

This closure is to permit the paving operations on the frontage road.

Detours will be posted for traffic to follow.

During this period, TxDOT urges drivers to exercise caution. Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls, and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems. TxDOT also asks drivers to remain alert to road crews while navigating through the construction zone.
