Sherman, Texas -- On Thursday, March 5, bestselling author Chloe Gong will visit the Sherman Public Library and Sherman ISD for AuthorFest 2026. This is the new date for the event, which had to be postponed earlier this year because of the January ice storm. This will be the 39th time that the library and school district have joined together for AuthorFest, which gives our local community the opportunity to meet notable writers in person.

Chloe Gong is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the critically acclaimed Secret Shanghai novels, as well as the Flesh and False Gods trilogy. Her books have been published in over twenty countries and have have been featured in the New York Times, People, Cosmopolitan, and more. She was named one of the Forbes 30 Under 30 for 2024. Her latest novel is Coldwire, the first installment of a YA cyberpunk
dystopian trilogy, published in November 2025.

While in Sherman, Ms. Gong will give presentations and do book signings at Sherman High School and the Sherman Public Library. The general public is invited to the library presentation, which will start at 6:30 p.m.

“We are so excited to have Chloe Gong visit Sherman for this year’s AuthorFest,” said Young Adult Librarian Sonia Pereira. “She is a remarkably gifted writer – she published her first bestseller during her senior year of college – and her work has cross-generational appeal, from YA fantasy novels like These Violent Delights to adult sci-fi/fantasy books like Immortal Longings.”
