Commerce, Texas -- We’re excited to celebrate the East Texas A&M Planetarium’s 20th anniversary on February 21 from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at the McFarland Science Building! The event will feature planetarium demos, interactive stations, free giveaways and more than $4,000 in prize drawings, including telescopes and other big-ticket items. We hope you’ll join us for this special milestone celebration. Everyone is welcome!

The full event itinerary is below.

• 3:00 p.m. — Doors Open

• 3:05 p.m. — Welcome

  • Guest welcome

  • Introductions and event instructions

  • Open stations featuring:

    • Free giveaways (T-shirts, keychains, stars, snacks)

    • SPS demonstrations

    • Photo booth

  • Planetarium demos begin (81 seats per session; multiple consecutive sessions as time allows)

• 4:25 p.m. — Announcements

• 4:30 p.m. — Stations Close

  • Prize drawing (more than $4,000 in giveaways), including:

    • Two small telescopes

    • Two smart telescopes (must be 21 or older to win)

    • One pair of round-trip domestic airline tickets (valid for one year; must be 21 or older to win)

    • Books, puzzles, tumblers, games, blankets, toys and LEGO sets

• 5:00 p.m. — Event Concludes
