Plano, Texas -- The City of Plano is turning up the heat for the 2026 Lunar New Year, officially welcoming the Year of the Fire Horse on February 17, 2026. Known for its legendary speed, charisma, and "main character energy," the Fire Horse is setting the stage for Plano’s most vibrant celebration yet.

Plano’s calendar is packed with enough food, firecrackers, and festivities to keep your spirits high:
The Main Event at McCall Plaza: On Saturday, February 21, Downtown Plano transforms into a cultural carnival. Expect jaw-dropping Lion Dances, K-Pop beats that will get you moving, and hands-on Chinese Calligraphy that’s way more fun than your average art class.
Feast Like Royalty: On March 1, JS Chen’s Dim Sum & BBQ is serving up a massive 10-course banquet. Between the Dragon Dances and the dim sum, you’ll be supporting the North Texas Food Bank—so yes, second helpings are encouraged for a good cause!
Storytime & Crafts: Kick off the month on February 7 at Haggard Library, where kids can dive into the legends of the zodiac and make their own lucky charms.
Lunch with a Show: Head to Kirin Court on February 26 for a talent show and raffle prizes that prove the Year of the Horse is all about winning big.
