Blue Ridge, Texas -- The Blue Ridge Lady Tigers had a chance to lock up the final playoff berth out of their district with a win Tuesday night, but the Leonard Lady Tigers had other plans. Leonard knocked off Blue Ridge, 35-27, to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Blue Ridge and Leonard were tied, 6-6, after the first buzzer, but Leonard had opened up a 16-12 lead at the half.

Leonard managed to pad its lead by four points during the final two periods to earn a 35-27 win on the road.

Bella Neaville scored a team-high 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds.

Riley Brown had a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds.

Kylie Houser knocked down nine points to go along with five rebounds and four steals.

Avery Ross had two points and five rebounds.

Emma Houser hit a free throw.

Micaela Garza and Lauren Pemberton each had one assist and Trinity Newby grabbed one rebound and one steal.

If Leonard upsets Pottsboro next Tuesday, Leonard will get the 4th place bid. However, if Blue Ridge upsets Gunter or Pottsboro, then Blue Ridge could get the 4th place bid. If Leonard and Blue Ridge both finish with 5 wins in district, that will trigger a play-in because the two teams would be tied.
