Dallas, Texas -- This year, the global celebration of the Lunar New Year begins on Tuesday, Feb. 17, but Galleria Dallas is starting its celebration early with an art installation featuring nearly 250 enormous lanterns over the ice rink to celebrate the Year of the Horse – a symbol of vibrant energy and momentum. The beautiful lantern festival installation is up now and will stay through Feb. 28.

To celebrate Lunar New Year, Galleria Dallas will host the Jiu Long Lion Dance Troupe, who will perform a colorful dance at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 on Level 1 around Center Court.

In addition to the exciting dance performance, visitors will enjoy a high-energy drumming performance as part of the celebration. After the 30-minute show, guests can see the elaborate lion costumes up close as two ground lions stick around for guest interactions and pictures for the remainder of the hour.
