Bonham, Texas -- Ronald Allan White, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on January 22, 1949, Ron made a lasting impact on the lives of all who knew him through his service, leadership, and devotion to family.

Ron proudly served 22 years in the United States Air Force, retiring after a distinguished military career. During the Vietnam War, his aircraft was shot down over enemy territory, and through courage and determination, he successfully escaped and evaded capture. Following his service, he earned a master’s degree and continued his lifelong commitment to veterans by serving several years as Administrator of the Clyde Cosper State Veterans Home.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. White; his son, Brandon White; and his brother, Stanley White.

Ron is survived by his devoted spouse, Gloria White; mother, Lillian White; son, Doug (Kari) White; daughter, Liz (Brian) Keller; and bonus daughters, Dori (Travis) Howery, Aja (Micah) Parks, and Jaclyn (JR) Simpson. He is also survived by brother, Gerrall (Necie-Kyong Ja) White.

He leaves behind cherished grandchildren Scarlette Rauser, Korben Keller, Ivey Keller, Nicholas Roller, and Caleb Roller; bonus grandchildren Austin (Lauren), Alexandria (Jayden), Ayden (Kayleigh), Koen, Brynlee, Kaysen, Ryan (Jordan), Grace (Will), Devin and Jayden; great-grandchildren Braxton Cole, Evie Rauser, and Felicity Keller; and bonus great-grandchildren Bowen, Knox, Annalise, Posie, Emerson, River, Liam, Josie, Jayden Jr and Jed.

Ron will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his country, and the veterans he served throughout his life.

A visitation will be held to honor Ron’s life on Friday, January 9, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
