Honey Grove, Texas -- Bobbie Jean (Simpson) Hohenberger, formerly of Honey Grove, Texas, passed away December 16, 2025, at Paris Chalet Senior Living in Paris, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, at First Baptist Church of Honey Grove. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Trevor Williams will preside.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Hohenberger, Jack Kizer, Vernon Kizer, Matt Cowen, Eric Lair, and Mark Herriage.
Honorary pallbearers are Chad Hohenberger, Matt Hasten, Chris Vega, James Hohenberger, Art Hohenberger, Alfred Piland, Jimmy Simpson, Danny Simpson, Jerry Simpson, Fred Wilkerson, and Todd Simpson. Interment will follow at Allen’s Point Cemetery.
Bobbie was born June 25, 1931, in Honey Grove, Texas, to Lev and Betty Simpson. She married Harvey Benton Hohenberger on June 8, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2004. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, and manager of a women’s apparel in Bonham, Texas for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Honey Grove and served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years.

Bobbie is survived by son, Harvey Jr, and wife Gail, of Klondike, Texas; son, Bryon, and wife, Sylvia, of Dodd City, Texas; son in law, Don Herriage, of Petty, Texas; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; daughter, Beverly Ann Herriage, and great grandson, Logan Lair.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Paris Chalet Senior Living and Waterford Hospice for the excellent care provided and the love shown to Bobbie. In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to Bertha Voyer Public Library in Honey Grove, Texas.
