Denison, Texas — December 13, 2025 — The Preston Trail Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) proudly joined volunteers nationwide in Wreaths Across America, a moving tribute to honor more than 2,000 veterans laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Denison, Texas.

On National Wreaths Across America Day, eighteen Preston Trail Chapter members, alongside volunteers from the American Legion, Scouts BSA boy troop 605, Girl troop 403 and community volunteers, gathered to remember, honor, and teach. The Preston Trail Chapter, NSDAR is proud to co-sponsor this annual event with the American Legion Auxiliary.

The ceremony commenced with a solemn tribute to all who served, followed by the placement of handmade Balsam Fir wreaths upon each veteran’s grave. During the ceremony, volunteers honored each veteran by speaking their name aloud ensuring their service and sacrifice are never forgotten.

“Wreaths Across America’s mission aligns perfectly with the goals of NSDAR,” said a spokesperson for the Preston Trail Chapter. “It is our privilege to join hands with our community to honor the brave men and women who defended our nation.”

Community members wishing to support this meaningful cause can donate or volunteer by visiting wreathsacrossamerica.org. From December 13 through December 31, 2025, all sponsored wreaths will be matched through a special sponsorship group, providing
even greater impact for next year’s National Wreaths Across America Day, scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2026.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is one of the world’s largest patriotic women’s service organizations, dedicated to historic preservation, education, and
patriotism. This marks the twelfth consecutive year of the Preston Trail Chapter’s participation in Wreaths Across America, reflecting an enduring commitment to honoring
veterans and fostering community service.
