Fannin County, Texas -- The Fannin County Museum of History invites the public to enjoy this wonderful exhibit of cast-iron toys.

In the late 1800s and early 1900s, the Industrial Revolution ushered in a new era of toys, phasing out wooden toys for cast-iron toys, which were made by pouring molten steel into sand molds. By the 1940s as lighter material was available, these cast-iron toys were eventually discontinued.

Kids and adults will enjoy this great collection, which will be on display through the end of January.
