Born on July 1,1941 in Kansas City, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth & Eleanor Frye, brother Ronald Frye, & husbands Gene Chandler & Earl Calloway.

She was a citizen of Trenton, TX and is currently survived by her children in order of birth: Darrell Chandler of Greenville, TX, Randell Chandler of Stonewall, OK, Sherry Chandler of Orlando, FL, a daughter-in-law, 3 grandchildren, & numerous step grandchildren. Marlene’s warmth, laughter, & unconditional love filled our lives with joy.

She was happiest among her family and friends, serving God as a church secretary and choir member, listening to music, dancing with family, and good times with good company. She was a devoted mother & animal lover, often donating to animal charities & making sure her children lacked for nothing.

Her patience & humor shaped us into who we are today. We’re grateful for every memory & moment shared. She will never be forgotten & will always be cherished.

Family & friends are invited to a celebration of Marlene’s life at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home on December 8, 2025  at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing to be held at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home on December 7, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
