Dr. Rank is the Dean of the College of Agriculture at East Texas A&M University and a Professor of Agricultural Education. He grew up on a ranch in central Arizona and has worked for some of the most influential ranches in the country.
He earned a B.S. in Agriculture Business from Oklahoma Panhandle State University as well as an M.S. and Ph.D. in Agriculture Education from Iowa State University. Prior to beginning his Ph.D. program, Dr. Rank served as an agriculture teacher at Marshall and Sulphur Bluff, TX.
Dr. Rank has a passion for both agriculture and education, thinking of his discipline as the intersection of teaching and learning as they pertain to agriculture. Currently, Dr. Rank is working on several initiatives within CASNR including new graduate programs, farm improvement, cattle improvement and urban food systems.
