Howe, Texas -- The Leonard Lady Tigers wrapped up a successful district campaign with a three-set win over the Howe Lady Bulldogs.
Leonard had everything going right in a 25-7 win to start the match. In the second set, Leonard turned back Howe, 25-20, and the Lady Tigers got the sweep with a 25-16 victory in the third set.
All the Lady Tiger hitters played an important role in the win. Bella Neaville led the way with eight kills, Riley Brown slammed down seven kills, Madison Jones finished with five kills, Leah Stoy and Avery Ross each had four kills and Ashlynn Cavendar had one kill.
Ava Flowers handed out 29 assists and led Leonard at the service line with four aces.
Jones and Neaville had one block apiece.
Olivia Aylor came up with a team-high 11 digs and Emma Houser had five digs.
Jasper Cunningham finished with three aces and two digs.
With the win, Leonard improves to 32-7 on the year and 7-5 in District 3A. The Lady Tigers finished third in district.
Leonard will host Saint Jo on Monday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m. in a warm-up match.
In bi-district, the Lady Tigers will take on Chisum on Thursday, October 30 in Bonham.
