Sherman, Texas -- Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that the southbound US 75 frontage road from Blythe Road (Farmington Road) to Hodgins Road will be closed to through traffic from Oct. 22, 9 p.m. to Oct. 23, 5 a.m.
This closure is needed to safely install drainage pipes across the frontage road. The closure will allow for the construction equipment to stage on one side of the frontage road and perform the installation across the remaining portion of the frontage road.
During this closure, residents who live between Blythe Road and Hodgins Road will be able to access their driveway. There will be flaggers and a pilot car to direct local traffic. There will be message boards and other applicable signs to warn and direct traffic. The US 75 southbound entrance ramp from Blyth Road will remain open to traffic.
Motorists who travel frequently in this area are asked to pay special attention to all barricades, traffic controls and signs, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
