Leonard, Texas -- The Leonard Lady Tigers improved to 31-5 on the year and 6-3 in District 11-3A by sweeping the Pottsboro Lady Cardinals.

The Leonard Lady Tiger hitters overpowered Pottsboro in the first two sets, winning 25-12 and 25-14. Leonard cruised to a 25-17 victory in the third set for the sweep.

All the Leonard hitters had a big night, with seven hitters credited with four or more kills.

Avery Ross led the way with eight kills, Bella Neaville knocked down seven kills, Leah Stoy slammed down six kills, Ashlynn Cavendar and Riley Brown both finished with five kills, while Caroline Holton and Madison Jones each had four kills.

Ava Flowers dished out 39 assists in addition to racking up team-high totals in aces (2) and digs (8).

Olivia Aylor finished with four digs, Emma Houser got under three digs and Jasper Cunningham came up with a pair of digs.

Leonard (6-3) will have an important rematch with Blue Ridge (6-3) on Friday. Blue Ridge defeated Leonard in the first round of district competition.
