Regional alt-rock band The Trainwreck bring an unforgettable live music experience to North Texas and Southern Oklahoma

Sherman, Texas — The iconic sounds and visuals of Pink Floyd’s legendary opera The Wall will echo through Austin College on Saturday, January 17, 2026, as regional alt-rock band The Trainwreck and their talented friends present a full-length performance of the groundbreaking rock masterpiece.

The event is set to draw more than 500 fans from across North Texas and Southern Oklahoma, making it one of the largest live music nights in the region.

“I heard The Wall for the first time in 1995 and it has stuck with me since then,” said Kirt Connor, band lead and vocalist. “It is an incredibly special album ,so bringing it to life in this manner is going to be very meaningful.”

A community celebration

Beyond the concert itself, the event highlights the historic Austin College Ida Green Communication Center as a centerpiece for arts and culture. With support from local
sponsors, partners, and music lovers alike, this will be a special experience to strengthen the region’s growing cultural scene.

The performance will feature a full production rendition of The Wall album. The team has been working on lights, sound, and visuals to give the Sherman-Denison area the kind of tribute show you’d expect in Dallas.

About Trainwreck

The Trainwreck was founded in the summer of 2024 and quickly became the go-to North Texas act for fun, energetic live music events. The trio of Kirt Connor (Guitar, Vocals), Joshua Hansard (Drums, Vocals) and Alec Cripps (Bass) gained instant notoriety for dynamic performances, engaging crowd work, musical skill, and wild PR. Their debut album, Express to Nowhere, released on June 25, 2025. An alt-rock, post-grunge band at the core, they also have been known to drop nasty funk, complex prog, and, at times, a weaponized country song or two. For the Wall Project, they are joined by Oliver White (Guitar, Vocals), Atticus Neff (Percussion), and RJ Wright (Keyboards).
