The Occupational Safety and Health major at Southeastern continually produces high-caliber graduates for the workforce of Oklahoma and the greater region. Numerous companies sent SE alumni as their representative and were also recruiting for potential positions in fields outside of safety.
While construction firms with immediate need were many of the companies represented, there were also energy, manufacturing, engineering, insurance, agriculture, and wholesale trade companies in attendance. Many companies scheduled interviews with candidates on campus later in the week.
SE Career Services hosts multiple career fairs throughout the year to connect employers with future graduates and SE alumni who are prepared to enter the workforce and contribute immediately.
“Potential employers keep coming back to this career fair because they recognize the benefit in having a Southeastern alum as an employee or current student as an intern,” said Stephanie Davison, Southeastern Executive Director of Career Services and Alumni Relations. “The number of alumni who were company representatives today shows the strength of our occupational safety and health program and its success across the board. Southeastern graduates immediately contribute to our state and regional workforce, and it shows in the attendance at this event.”
