Dallas/Fort Worth, TX -- The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth (JASDFW) is pleased to announce an exciting cultural and culinary experience: a hands-on Sushi Making Class, taking place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Yama Izakaya & Sushi in Carrollton.
Led by the Japanese chef, Shigekazu Tateno, the owner of Yama Izakaya & Sushi, participants will learn to prepare several types of sushi rolls and traditional nigiri while enjoying a premium sake pairing with Dassai, one of Japan’s most celebrated sake brands. Guests will also take home a bamboo sushi mat, ensuring the experience can continue at home.
The class offers more than just culinary instruction—it’s an opportunity for cultural exchange and networking within the Japan-America community. With only 40 seats available, the intimate setting ensures a memorable, shared experience.
