Bonham, Texas -- On a pleasant autumn morning Saturday, October 4, approximately 200 bicyclists pedaled past the 1888 Fannin County Courthouse on their way to a variety of routes planned for the Autumn in Bonham bike rally.

With the temperature in the low 60s, riders began lining up just after 8:00 a.m. in anticipation of the 8:30 a.m. start time.

Sam Lumpkins, Executive Director of Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce issued a few last-minute instructions to ensure the safety of visitors who would soon be touring the rural, rolling hills of Fannin County.

Riders this year had a choice of five paved routes, including a Century Mile test of endurance, or three gravel routes.

After the ride, a full day of entertainment was planned, with vendors, games, a car show and entertainment on the stage until 4:00 p.m.
